Ukraine already produces almost 20 Bogdana self-propelled artillery units per month.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in his traditional evening video address, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In particular, Zelenskyy called his visit to Iceland to participate in the Ukraine-Northern Europe (Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden) summit productive, noting the agreements on new support packages for Ukraine's defense and energy, as well as investments in the production of weapons in Ukraine and on the development of joint defense projects.
"There is a strong history of such relations with Denmark - we call it the Danish model, which makes it possible to attract finance from our partners specifically in Ukrainian defense production. In particular, we make artillery - already almost 20 Bogdanas per month, good results in other areas as well. There will be more results. Shells, equipment, drones - everything necessary. I am grateful to everyone who helps us," he said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in April, Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine would produce 10 Bogdana self-propelled guns for the first time, and even more in May.
In September, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced that the first EUR 40.7 million from Denmark to Ukrainian production are already in the accounts of the Ministry of Defense. Denmark allocated a total of EUR 50 million for the production of 18 self-propelled guns Bogdana.
