DPRK state that they allegedly not sending their troops to Ukraine

North Korea has stated that accusations of sending its soldiers to participate in the war on the side of russia are groundless.

This is reported by Yonhap.

"Regarding the so-called military cooperation with russia, my delegation does not feel the need to comment on such baseless stereotypical rumors aimed at tarnishing the image of the DPRK and undermining the legitimate relations of friendship and cooperation between the two sovereign states," said North Korea's representative to the UN during meeting of the First Committee of the UN General Assembly.

These words came in response to accusations by the Ukrainian Ambassador, who claimed that North Korea was planning to send 11,000 troops to help russia in the war.

The statement was the first official response since South Korean intelligence reported Pyongyang's intention to send about 12,000 troops to help russia in its war in Ukraine.

It will be recalled that earlier South Korean intelligence published satellite images that recorded the movement of North Korean troops towards the aggressor state of russia. In particular, North Korea has decided to send about 12,000 troops to russia to support its war against Ukraine and has already deployed 1,500 special forces fighters in Vladivostok.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, meanwhile, 18 North Korean soldiers, who escaped from positions in the Kursk Oblast, are currently detained by the russians. They can be sent to assault groups.

Earlier, the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security under the Ministry of Culture and Information published a video in which, according to the description, russian equipment is given to North Korean soldiers.
