Russian dictator vladimir putin said he will not go to the G20 summit in Brazil to "not disrupt the work of the forum" and not because of an International Criminal Court warrant for his arrest.
This was reported by the russian Interfax on Friday, October 18.
Putin said that he has "excellent and friendly relations" with Brazilian President Lula da Silva, so he does not want to disrupt the forum with his arrival.
"We all understand very well that even if we exclude this ICC (International Criminal Court), all conversations will be only about this. In fact, we will disrupt the work of the "twenty". Why?" the russian dictator said.
According to him, russia will find a "worthy representative of its interests" in Brazil.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 6, International Criminal Court prosecutor Karim Khan said that Mongolia will have to explain why it ignored the warrant and did not arrest russian dictator vladimir putin.
On September 12, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine announced a demarche to the Mongolian side due to the refusal of the signatory country of the Rome Statute to arrest putin.
In August, Mexican President Manuel López Obrador rejected Ukraine's request to arrest putin if he arrived in the country.
