1,500 North Korean soldiers transported to RF from October 8 to 13 - South Korean intelligence

North Korea has already sent one and a half thousand of its military personnel to russia as part of the transfer of a military contingent to participate in a full-scale military aggression against Ukraine.

The South Korean agency Yonhap reports this with reference to an official of the National Intelligence Service (NIS) of South Korea.

According to NIS, North Korea began transferring its troops to russia earlier this month. From October 8 to 13, Pyongyang sent about 1,500 people.

It is noted that the transfer of personnel was carried out using four amphibious ships of the russian fleet.

The North Korean military was transferred from bases near the cities of Chongjin, Hamhun and Musudan in the north of the DPRK. They were sent to the russian cities of Vladivostok, Ussuriysk, Khabarovsk and Blagoveshchensk.

According to NIS, russian military uniforms and weapons were given to North Korean servicemen. They also received fake identity cards, disguising them as local residents.

The NIS believes that in the coming days, russia and North Korea will begin the second stage of transferring North Korean soldiers.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the day before South Korean mass media wrote that South Korean intelligence estimates the group of North Korean troops that will be sent to participate in the war against Ukraine to be 12,000 people.

According to him, Kyiv knows that 11,000 North Korean soldiers are undergoing training on the territory of the russian federation.

According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he said on October 14, the actual inclusion of North Korea in the war against Ukraine will take place in the fall and winter of this year.
