The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that Greece will provide the country with assistance in training pilots of the American F-16 Fighting Falcon multi-role fighters.
Zelenskyy reported this on Telegram.
He said that today he and Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis signed the Agreement on cooperation in the field of security.
Zelenskyy said that the Greek authorities are ready to provide the most urgent defense needs of Ukraine.
"It will provide additional resources to accelerate the training of our pilots and technical personnel for F-16 aircraft," Zelenskyy wrote.
The head of state thanked Greece for the help she provides to Ukraine to repel russia's full-scale military aggression.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 6 it became known that the first F-16 fighter jets delivered by the Netherlands had arrived in Ukraine.
We will remind, on August 4, on the Day of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Ukrainian military for the first time demonstrated the F-16 fighter jets received from Ukraine's western partners.
We previously reported that according to President Zelenskyy, Ukraine needs at least 128 F-16 fighter jets to confront the aggressor country of russia.
