Ukraine offers Western partners to deploy a comprehensive non-nuclear strategic deterrence package on its territory.
Zelenskyy said this while presenting the Victory Plan in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In particular, he said that the third point of the Victory Plan is deterrence, to which there is a secret annex, which the USA, Great Britain, France, Italy and Germany have already received, and some other states will also receive it.
"Ukraine proposes to place on its land a comprehensive non-nuclear strategic deterrence package, which will be sufficient to protect Ukraine from any military threat from russia and which will maximally narrow the variability of russia's actions to the following prospects: either join an honest diplomatic process for a just end to the war, or guaranteed to lose the opportunity to continue an aggressive war due to the use by Ukraine of the provided deterrence package in accordance with the determined military targets of russia. That is, the deterrence package is the fact that russia either goes to diplomacy, or goes ... to the loss of its war machine," he said.
Zelenskyy noted that it works equally effectively on both sides of the Atlantic, and this point can be ensured, in particular, by funding within the framework of already concluded security agreements with partners and defined amounts of financial support.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on Wednesday, October 16, Zelenskyy presented the Victory Plan for Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada.
The first point of the plan envisages inviting Ukraine to NATO now.
The second point of the plan is defense, it provides for the irreversible strengthening of Ukrainian defense against the aggressor and the continuation of the operations of the Defense Forces of Ukraine on the territory of the russian federation to prevent buffer zones in Ukraine, the lifting of restrictions on the use of long-range weapons provided by Western partners on the territory of russia, as well as the participation of neighboring European countries in downing of russian missiles and drones.
