North Korea sends not only weapons and missiles to Ukraine, but also engineering troops and, most likely, infantry.
Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said this on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel on Tuesday, October 15.
Podoliak said that there is no proper reaction from Western partners to the deepening of cooperation between the DPRK and the aggressor country of russia. According to him, sending North Korean troops to Ukraine will help the DPRK to test new technologies and gain access to russian resources, as well as to work out the coordination of its forces.
"Today, there is no doubt that, in addition to shells, missiles and ammunition, North Korea is also sending engineering troops to russia, and probably those who can be used on the battlefield. Quantitative parameters must be confirmed by the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. But the fact that such a fact exists is certain. That is, it is no longer a war of only russia against Ukraine, but already a war of North Korea," Podoliak stressed.
According to Podoliak, the agreement on strategic cooperation between the russian federation and the DPRK will contain secret additions and protocols prescribing military cooperation.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 15, it became known that 18 soldiers, who were brought from North Korea, escaped from russian positions in the Kursk Oblast.
According to media reports, military personnel from the DPRK will fight as part of the "special Buryat battalion" of the russian federation.
It will be recalled that on October 14, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the aggressor country of russia intends to use servicemen from North Korea in the war against Ukraine in the fall or winter of this year.
