Russian Shaheds again fly near South Ukraine NPP - Energoatom

On the night of October 6 to 7, two russian Shaheds were recorded near the industrial site of the South Ukraine nuclear power plant (Mykolaiv Region).

This is stated in the message of the Energoatom national nuclear energy generating company in the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, the flight distance of the Shaheds from the nuclear facilities was less than 10 km.

"Cases of recording of russian UAVs have recently increased manifold, which may indicate russia's preparation for strikes on Ukrainian nuclear infrastructure. Energoatom provides information on each such fact to the relevant institutions for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to send notes to the International Atomic Energy Agency and to inform domestic and international organizations," the message reads.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 13, Energoatom reported that more than 100 russian unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles had flown near Ukrainian nuclear power plants in less than a month.

Ukraine has agreed with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to extend the agency's monitoring mission to key substations on which the stable operation of nuclear power plants depends.
