The Ukrgasvydobuvannia joint-stock company after hydraulic fracturing increased the daily flow of gas at the well more than 5 times to more than 100,000 cubic meters.
This is stated in the company's message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Ukrgasvydobuvannia on one of the wells increased the daily output by more than 5 times after conducting the fracturing operation. This was achieved thanks to the professional and coordinated work of the team in a short time - in 18 days. Before that, from November 2023 to August 2024, the well worked with a gradual decrease in flow rate from 29,000 cubic meters to 18,000 cubic meters per day. Therefore, after collecting geological and technical information, the company's specialists decided to carry out a major repair of the well," the statement reads.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in August, Ukrgasvydobuvannia launched a well with a flow rate of 107,000 cubic meters of gas per day.
In 7 months of 2024, Ukrgasvydobuvannia increased gas production by 8% to 8.1 billion cubic meters.
The Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company plans to extract 15 billion cubic meters of gas in 2024 at the expense of the Ukrgasvydobuvannia and Ukrnafta companies.
In 2023, Ukrgasvydobuvannia produced 13.5 billion cubic meters of gas.
Ukrgasvydobuvannia is the largest gas producer in Ukraine, 100% of the company's shares belong to Naftogaz.
