Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said that in the absence of critical strikes on the power system there will be no blackouts in winter.
He said this during the hour of questions to the government.
"And regarding the issue of the blackout, you know, unfortunately, a lot of manipulation is taking place today. There are a lot of experts who every day throw in 20 hours without light, or 18 hours. In fact, they don't know anything, so that if there are no strikes that will have a critical impact on the power system, we will pass this winter in normal mode," the Minister of Energy is convinced.
According to Halushchenko, if there will be critical strikes on energy, "it is difficult to predict the impact of such strikes on the system today", and all estimates are conditional and have nothing to do with reality.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, russia wants a complete blackout in Ukraine, so Ukraine is preparing for a difficult situation in winter, the way to survive is to ensure that all 9 power units of nuclear power plants work in winter.
At the beginning of June, the Ministry of Energy reported that due to shelling by the russian occupiers of energy infrastructure after March 22, Ukraine's energy system lost about 9 GW of capacity.
