The russian neo-Nazi group NS/WP (National-Socialism/White Power) claimed responsibility for the murder of linguist and former Member of Parliament of Ukraine Iryna Farion in Lviv, the russian Telegram channel Astra reports with reference to the movement's page.
As proof of its involvement in the murder, the group showed a fragment of the video allegedly showing the moment of the attack on the linguist.
This 10-second video first shows Iryna Farion teaching Ukrainian to a Ghanaian legionnaire of the Ukrainian football club Rukh Ernest Antwi. Then they show shots from the street, on which a woman's scream and the sound of a gunshot can be heard. Also in this video, you can see cars similar to the ones parked outside Farion's house on the day of the shooting.
The channel itself was created only on April 27, and it is difficult to understand what is happening on the video, because the author of the film is covering the camera with his finger almost all the time.
Astra notes that NS/WP also adds a manifesto written in russian. It states that Farion is a "pest" and a "race traitor". It is also indicated that "the white revolution begins" from this day.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 19, around 7:30 p.m. in Lviv, an unknown person shot Iryna Farion with a firearm on Masaryka Street. As a result of the shooting, Farion received a severe head injury. She was hospitalized at the Saint Panteleimon Hospital, where she was in intensive care for some time. Despite the efforts of doctors, Iryna Farion died three hours after the attempt.
