Shmyhal will negotiate on supply of ammunition and energy in Czech Republic on Tuesday

On Tuesday, July 16, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal will negotiate the supply of ammunition, joint projects and production, infrastructure, and energy in the Czech Republic.

Shmyhal announced this in his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The government team is working in Prague today. We will hold joint intergovernmental consultations with Czech colleagues and meetings with the leadership of the Czech Republic. The subject of our dialogue is the supply of ammunition, integration into the EU and NATO, joint projects and production, infrastructure, energy. We are waiting for the signing of a number of bilateral documents," he said.

Shmyhal added that Ukraine continues to deepen close relations for the sake of a strong, peaceful and secure Europe.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in June, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala announced that the first batch of ammunition purchased as part of the Czech initiative had already arrived in Ukraine.

In May, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that Ukraine will receive almost a million shells as part of the Czech initiative by the end of 2024.

In Prague in May, Shmyhal discussed with the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala the implementation of the artillery initiative, for which more than EUR 1.6 billion were collected, and the possibility of using the weapons of partners on the territory of the aggressor country of russia.
