Promise that F-16s will fight in Ukrainian skies in summer of 2024 fulfilled - Kuleba

The issue of the supply and arrival of the first wave of F-16 fighters has already been resolved. We promised that in the summer of 2024 F-16s would fight in the sky of Ukraine, and this promise has been fulfilled. Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced this in an interview with Channel 24 on Thursday, July 11.

According to him, currently we are talking about the first wave of F-16 fighters, but Ukraine is already working on obtaining more F-16s.

"There are two fundamental points here. First, we promised that in the summer of 2024 F-16s would fight in the skies of Ukraine, and this promise has been fulfilled. Second, this is only the first wave. In fact, we need more aircraft, and the issue of supply, the arrival of the first wave of F-16s has already been resolved," Kuleba emphasized.

Kuleba emphasized that all questions about the F-16 will be removed when they are seen in the Ukrainian sky. In addition, Ukraine is working on obtaining MiG-29 aircraft, which are in service with some friendly countries.
