Ukraine ups grain exports by 3.2% to 50.8 million tons in MY2023/2024

The actual volume of grain exports by Ukraine in the 2023/2024 marketing year (July 2023 - June 2024) made 50.826 million tons, up 3.2% or 1.59 million tons year over year.

This follows from a statement by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

In particular, in the 2023/2024 marketing year, wheat exports increased by 8.9%, or by 1.5 million tons, to 18.402 million tons.

Barley exports decreased by 8.1%, or by 0.221 million tons, to 2.491 million tons.

Corn exports increased by 0.6%, or 0.161 million tons, to 29.389 million tons.

Rye exports decreased by 11.3 times to 1,600 tons.

Also, during the specified period, the export of wheat flour and flour from other crops decreased by 36.2%, or by 55,700 tons, to 98,200 tons.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, 55 million tons of goods were exported through the Ukrainian sea corridor in 10 months.

On September 21, the bulk carrier Resilient Africa arrived in the Turkish Bosphorus Strait.

It was the first ship with grain from Ukraine that passed through the Black Sea through the temporary corridor.

On July 17, 2023, russia announced the withdrawal of navigation security guarantees in the Black Sea to ensure the "grain corridor".

Ukraine exported 49 million tons of grain in the 2022/2023 marketing year, up 1.3% year over year.
