"There is a significant shortage of electricity in the energy system for most of the day. The reason is the large-scale damage to Ukrainian power plants, due to which they cannot produce as much electricity as before the attack... On May 13, in order to overcome the deficit in the energy system, at the request of Ukrenergo, it was activated emergency supply of electricity to Ukraine from 12:00 a.m. to 07:00 a.m. and from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. from the energy systems of Romania, Poland, and Slovakia. Today, emergency assistance from EU countries was applied from 12:00 a.m. to 07:00 a.m.," the message says.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, for the seventh day in a row, Ukraine is receiving emergency aid from EU energy systems.
