On April 7, a total of 76 combat clashes took place at the front; most of the enemy attacks were repelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Bakhmut (31) and Novopavlivsk (22) Axes.
This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the AFU posted on its Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched seven missile and 104 airstrikes and conducted 108 attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas using MLRSes.
As a result of russian terrorist attacks, casualties among the civilian population have been reported.
During the day, 76 combat clashes took place at the front.
On the Kupiyansk Axis, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.
On the Lyman Axis, Ukrainian soldiers repelled two attacks in the area of the settlement of Terny, Donetsk Region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of the AFU.
On the Bakhmut Axis, the Defense Forces repelled 31 attacks in the areas of settlements of Bilohorivka, Luhansk Region, and Chasiv Yar, Spirne, Vyimka, Fedorivka, Rozdolivka, Vesele, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, and Andriyivka in the Donetsk Region.
On the Avdiyivka Axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight enemy attacks in the areas of Pervomaiske, Nevelske, and Netayilove settlements of the Donetsk Region, where the enemy tried to knock out our units from the occupied lines.
On the Novopavlivka Axis, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the invaders in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka settlements, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried 22 times to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops.
On the Orikhiv Axis, during the past day, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders five times in the areas of Staromayorske, Donetsk Region, and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia Region.
On the Kherson Axis, the enemy does not give up its intention to knock out the Ukrainian units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper River; during the past day, the enemy has carried out eight unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops.
During the day of April 7, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck one control point, five anti-aircraft missile complexes, one communication tower, and 13 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment of the enemy.
Units of the missile forces damaged one anti-aircraft missile complex, one UAV control point, one artillery system, and three areas where the occupiers' weapons and military equipment were concentrated.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 5, a total of 80 combat clashes took place at the front. The AFU repelled most of the enemy attacks on the Avdiyivka (22), Novopavlivsk (20), and Bakhmut (16) Axes.
