Overnight into March 29, the enemy launched a powerful missile and air strike against the facilities of the fuel and energy sector of Ukraine, using various types of missiles and attack UAVs. The defenders of the sky neutralized 84 air targets out of 99.
This is stated in the message of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Thus, the russian occupation army used 99 means of destruction:
- 60 Shahed-136/131 type attack UAVs (Prymorsko-Akhtarsk launch area, Kursk Oblast - russia);
- 3 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles (from three MiG-31K fighters - Ryazan Oblast - russia);
- 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (temporary occupied Crimea);
- 9 Kh-59 guided air missiles (from nine Su-34 aircraft - Belgorod Oblast - russia);
- 4 Iskander-K cruise missiles (Kursk Oblast - russia);
- 21 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles (from eleven Tu-95MS strategic bombers - Engels - russia).
Anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force and Ground Forces, mobile fire groups, and radio-electronic warfare equipment of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the air and missile attack.
As a result of anti-aircraft combat, 84 air targets were destroyed:
- 58 attack UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type;
- 17 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles;
- 5 Kh-59 guided air missiles;
- 4 Iskander-K cruise missiles.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, previously the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Illia Yevlash, explained that the russian occupiers' reduction of the intervals between mass missile attacks on Ukraine is connected with the constant change of the enemy's tactics and its efforts to find weak gaps in the Ukrainian air defense.
