Power units of 5 thermal power plants (TPP) were taken out for short-term emergency repairs, one of them has already been returned to work, and work is ongoing on the others.
This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Energy, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Also, due to technical reasons, one of the thermal power plants (CHP) was unloaded, there were no losses of the heating network.
"Energy-generating facilities are operating as usual. The stocks of coal and fuel oil in the warehouses are sufficient for uninterrupted operation of the stations. The amount of electricity produced is sufficient to fully meet the needs of consumers and industry. The maximum consumption was recorded at 06:00 p.m. of the previous day," the message states.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 14, after the completion of repairs, a power unit at one of the TPPs with an operating capacity of 250 MW was connected to the network.
