Ukrainian agricultural enterprises have sown 5.7 million hectares with winter crops, of which 1,151,000 hectares were planted with winter rapeseed, 4,514,000 hectares with winter cereals (3,968,000 hectares with wheat, 469,000 hectares with barley, 77,000 hectares with rye).
This follows from a statement by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Agricultural producers of all regions of Ukraine have finished sowing winter rapeseed.
Last week, farmers sowed 128,500 hectares of winter cereals.
"Eight regions of Ukraine have totally completed the sowing of winter crops, in the rest - it is systematically approaching the end. In most regions, agricultural producers have already sown more than 90% of winter crops from the forecast," the report said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, farmers started sowing winter crops at the beginning of September.
