In October, 11,090 deals worth UAH 13.32 billion (-7% to September 2023) were concluded on the Perspektyva stock exchange; since the beginning of the year, the number of deals made 85,300 worth UAH 135.03 billion (+147% against the January-October period of 2022).
This follows from a statement by the exchange, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In total, 31,320 deals worth UAH 59.3 billion (+9% to September 2023) were concluded on the stock exchanges of Ukraine in October 2023, and 225,520 deals worth UAH 406.9 billion were made since the beginning of the year (+198% to January-October 2022)
Since the beginning of the year, debt instruments have traditionally dominated the structure of trading on Perspektyva: government bonds - 88.44%, bonds of enterprises, foreign issuers and countries - 11.56%.
On the exchange stock market in general, trading is also observed mainly in the debt segment: government bonds - 93.67%, bonds of enterprises and foreign countries - 6.31%, shares, and joint investment institutions’ securities - 0.02%.
The share of the Perspektyva stock exchange in the total exchange turnover in January-October is 33%, including in relation to government bonds - 31%, in relation to bonds of enterprises, foreign issuers and states - 61%, in the total number of transactions - 38%.
The volume of trading on Perspektyva in October compared to September decreased by 7%, and the number of transactions increased by 15%.
17.97% of trades were conducted on the repo market, 0.07% - on the order market, and 81.96% - on the address market.
Compared to the same period in 2022, the volume of trading on Perspektyva increased 2.5 times, and the number of transactions increased 3.9 times.
In October, contracts on Perspektyva were concluded with 34 financial instruments (-1 over September), from the beginning of 2023 - with 73 (+4 over January-October 2022).
As of October 31, the number of securities and other financial instruments admitted to trading on the Perspektiva stock exchange amounted to 251, of which 159 were listed.
Structure of issues (series) by type of financial instruments: 172 - government bonds and government derivatives (158 - domestic, 14 - foreign loans), 35 - other bonds (21 - corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers, 8 - corporate bonds of foreign issuers, 6 - bonds of a foreign state), 30 - shares (17 - Ukrainian issuers, 11 - foreign issuers, 2 - shares of corporate investment funds), 7 - investment certificates, 7 - option certificates.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in September, 11,070 deals worth UAH 11.58 billion (-28% to September 2023) were concluded on the Perspektyva stock exchange; since the beginning of the year, the number of deals made 64,540 worth UAH 107.34 billion (+121% against the January-September period of 2022).
