The new head of the State Property Fund (SPF) will be the head of the Rivne Regional State Administration, Vitalii Koval. Member of Parliament from the Holos faction, Yaroslav Zhelezniak, announced this in his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The new head of the State Property Fund will be Vitalii Koval. He is one of the "oldest" heads of regions (Rivne Region), appointed under Honcharuk on September 9, 2019. When everyone still believed in the elevator. Well, to hold on to the position for 4 years - it's cool)))," he wrote.
According to Zhelezniak, the appointment of Koval as head of the SPF is planned for November 9.
Koval, 42, has been the head of the Rivne Regional State Administration since September 2019.
In 2003, Koval graduated from the Ternopil Academy of National Economy with a degree in banking, and in 2017 he received an MBA (Master of Business Administration) degree from the Lviv Business School of the Ukrainian Catholic University. In 2021 - MBA at the Aspen Institute Kyiv.
During 2004-2006, he worked in the banking sector, in particular in the credit department of Ukrgasbank.
From 2006 to 2019, Koval headed and co-founded enterprises in the agricultural, transport and construction industries: LLC Atlant-trans, LLC Investtradeservice, LLC RGS-Logisticgroup, LLC VVV Montage and LLC Sanako.
Koval is a candidate for master of sports in Greco-Roman wrestling, first vice-president of the Federation of Greco-Roman Wrestling of Ukraine, vice-president of the Association of Sports Wrestling of Ukraine.
He is married and has two children.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 6, the Verkhovna Rada appointed the former head of the State Property Fund, Rustem Umierov, to the position of Minister of Defense. Umierov has been the head of the State Property Fund since September 2022.
