Russian troops actively use aviation and do not stop trying to surround Avdiyivka. However, they have no success. Ukrainian defenders continue their assault south of Bakhmut. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the morning briefing.
Almost 70 combat clashes took place during the past day. In total, the russian troops launched one missile and 18 air strikes, carried out 35 attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.
Arkhanhelske, Maryinka, Novomykhaylivka, Staromayorske of the Donetsk Region; Odradokamyanka, Mykolayivka, Olhivka, Tiahynka, Ivanivka of the Kherson Region were hit by airstrikes.
More than 80 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Regions came under artillery fire.
In the Kupyansk axis, the russian invaders conducted unsuccessful assaults in the area of Synkivka and Ivanivka settlements of the Kharkiv Region. In the Lyman axis, the occupiers did not conduct offensive (assault) actions, they continue to regroup troops.
In the Bakhmut axis, Ukrainian soldiers repelled five enemy attacks in the Bohdanivka and Khromove areas of the Donetsk Region. Also, the enemy tried to restore the lost position near Klishchiyivka and Andriyivka, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 10 attacks.
In turn, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue their assault south of Bakhmut of the Donetsk Region, inflict losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, and entrench at the achieved boundaries.
In the Avdiyivka axis, the russian troops do not stop trying to encircle Avdiyivka, they actively use aviation, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine firmly hold the defense and inflict significant losses on the occupiers. The offensive actions of the enemy were unsuccessful in the areas of Stepove, Avdiyivka, Tonenke, Siverne of the Donetsk Region, where the Defense Forces repelled more than 20 attacks.
In the Maryinka axis, the invaders conducted unsuccessful assaults in the Maryinka and Novomykhaylivka districts of the Donetsk Region. Here, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 18 enemy attacks.
In the Shakhtarsk and Zaporizhzhia axes, the enemy maintains a military presence and regroups forces.
At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol axis, inflict losses on russian troops in manpower and equipment, and exhaust the enemy along the entire front line.
In the Kherson axis, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting a counter-battery fight, inflicting fire damage on the enemy's rear.
During the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces made an attack on the area of concentration of personnel and another one - on the anti-aircraft missile complex of the russians. Units of the missile forces hit the area of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment and two artillery pieces of the enemy.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the russian occupying forces launched an offensive in four directions in the Kharkiv and Donetsk Regions during the past day. Most of the attacks were recorded in the Avdiyivka and Maryinka areas of the Donetsk Region.
Earlier it was reported that russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of Thursday, October 26 amounted to 810 occupiers, the total number of losses of the russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 297,120 soldiers. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 30 artillery systems and 33 vehicles.
