2 children from Ukraine killed in Gaza Strip - Foreign Ministry

On October 24, two Ukrainian children were killed in a rocket attack in Gaza.

Maksym Tiokin, Head of the branch of the Embassy of Ukraine at the Palestinian National Administration, and Oleh Nikolenko, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, announced this in an interview with Suspilne.

It is reported that the victims were born in 2014 and 2017. Their identities have been established.

"We sympathize with the parents. The representative office of Ukraine in Ramallah finds out all the circumstances of the tragedy and maintains contact with relatives," Nikolenko added.

According to a representative of the Ukrainian community, who is now in the Gaza Sector, two children are brother and sister. Their mother is Ukrainian, originally from Kharkiv. She survived.

More than 700 people have been killed in Gaza over the past 24 hours, according to the Hamas-controlled local health ministry.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, 337 Ukrainians signed up to evacuate from the Gaza Strip, but in this region there are much more citizens of Ukraine - about half a thousand.

Meanwhile, Israel has announced a ground operation to "finally destroy Hamas."
