Businessman Ihor Kolomoiskyi asks the Shevchenkivskyi District Court to release him from custody and send him under night house arrest in Dnipro.
Kolomoiskyi’s lawyers stated this in court, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The defense noted that Kolomoiskyi has a kidney stone and there is a threat of complications of diabetes mellitus.
The lawyers are asking the judge to change the preventive measure to a night house arrest.
"There is every reason to change the preventive measure from detention to house arrest at a certain time of day," said Kolomoiskyi’s lawyer Oleksandr Lysak.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Kolomoiskyi appeared in court almost completely bold.
Kolomoiskyi complains that he is kept in an SSU detention center, and not in the Lukianivskyi pre-trial detention center.
In order to grow a beard in the pre-trial detention center of the Security Service of Ukraine, businessman Ihor Kolomoiskyi must obtain permission from an investigator or a body in which criminal proceedings are underway.
The prosecutor admitted that Kolomoiskyi’s preventive measure was changed, because the NABU took up the case.
Kolomoiskyi has health issues.
