The Energoatom national nuclear energy generating company put into operation another power unit of one of the nuclear power plants (NPP) after scheduled repairs.
This was announced by the Ministry of Energy, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Ahead of schedule, the next nuclear generation unit came out of repair. It will add an additional 415 MW of power to the power system. The electricity produced by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers. A large-scale repair campaign is underway at generation facilities - thermal, hydro and nuclear. Power engineers continue to prepare the power system for the heating season, which will take place in the conditions of russian attacks," the message says.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, 1.5 GW of the planned 1.7 GW of additional capacity was added to the power system in preparation for the heating season.
