After completion of repairs on October 3, a power unit at one of the thermal power plants (TPP) with an operating capacity of 200 MW was connected to the network.
This was announced by the Ministry of Energy, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that the electricity produced by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers.
According to the report, on October 3, restrictions on the production of electricity from renewable energy sources with a total capacity of 661 MW were applied.
"Power engineers continue to prepare the power system for the heating season, which will take place in the conditions of russian attacks. A large-scale repair campaign is underway at the generation facilities - thermal, hydro and nuclear," the message says.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine plans to add 2.9 GW of capacity to the power system by December.
