The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to defend in the east and south, are conducting an offensive in the Melitopol and Bakhmut axes, and are entrenching at the achieved boundaries. This was announced by the General Staff in the morning summary on September 29.
During the past day, 21 combat clashes took place at the front. In total, the enemy carried out 83 airstrikes and 63 attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian objects.
In the zone of responsibility of the Operational and Strategic Troops Group (OSTG) Pivnich in the Volyn and Polissia axes, the operational situation has not changed significantly.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanshchyna axes, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the border in the Belgorod Oblast of the russian federation.
The occupiers did not conduct offensive (assault) actions in the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia OSTG in the Kupyansk and Bakhmut axes.
In the Lyman axis, the Defense Forces successfully repelled an attack by the russians in the area of the settlement of Bilohorivka, Luhansk Region.
In the area of responsibility of the Tavria OSTG in the Avdiyivka axis, the enemy tried to restore the lost position in the area south of Avdiyivka, Donetsk Region, but was unsuccessful. In addition, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled an enemy attack in the Nevelske area of the Donetsk Region.
In the Maryinka axis, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the Maryinka area of the Donetsk Region, where during the past day it made six unsuccessful attempts to dislodge units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from their occupied positions. Also, the Ukrainian army repelled the attack of the occupiers in the Novomykhaylivka area of the Donetsk Region.
In the Shakhtarsk axis, the Defense Forces repelled the attack of the russians in the Urozhaine area of the Donetsk Region.
In the Zaporizhzhia axis, the enemy tried to restore the lost position in the Chervone area of the Zaporizhzhia Region, but was unsuccessful.
"The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol axis, offensive (assault) actions in the Bakhmut axis, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying forces, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line," the General Staff emphasized.
In the area of responsibility of the Odesa OSTG in the Kherson axis, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting a counter-battery fight, destroying supply depots and inflicting damage on the enemy's rear.
Last day, the Ukrainian aviation made 13 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, one - on the anti-aircraft missile complex and two - on the enemy's EW stations. Also, two reconnaissance UAVs of operational-tactical level were destroyed.
The anti-aircraft missile complex, 11 artillery units and the ammunition depot of the russians were hit by units of the missile forces.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the morning of Friday, September 29, russian invaders launched a missile attack on Mykolaiv, targeting an infrastructure object on the outskirts of the city.
