Overnight into September 10, the occupiers attacked Kyiv with attack drones. Air defense forces destroyed more than 20 air targets. This is stated in the message of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
"This night, the enemy attacked Kyiv with unmanned aerial vehicles. Previously, these were Shahed-type barrage munitions. Drones entered the capital in groups and from different directions. Air defense forces managed to destroy more than two dozen enemy UAVs (the exact number and type will be made public by the Air Force)," the message says.
According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, debris fell in several districts of the capital. In particular, they damaged an apartment in a high-rise building in the Shevchenkivskyi district. But most of the wreckage fell on open, undeveloped territory. Cars, trolleybus power lines, road surface were damaged.
Currently, it is known about one victim (non-life-threatening).
The data of the operational summary are being clarified.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yurii Ihnat, said that the aggressor state, the russian federation, is modernizing Shahed kamikaze drones, making them less visible to radar systems, and also plans to improve guided aerial bombs.
Earlier, the deputy head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Vadym Skibitskyi, said that the aggressor country of russia may start new attacks on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine at the end of September or the beginning of October.
According to Skibitskyi, this year russian forces may use more Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones along with missiles to confuse Ukrainian air defense systems.
