"We are working from the territory of russia," he said briefly, without specifying the number and type of combat drones used.
The head of intelligence refused to answer who exactly carried out the attack - employees of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine or partisans supervised by the Ukrainian special service.
At the same time, Budanov confirmed that four Russian IL-76 military transport aircraft were damaged as a result of the attack.
"Two were destroyed and two were seriously damaged," Budanov said.
According to him, these planes were specifically targeted because the aggressor state used them to transport military cargo and personnel of the russian airborne forces.
Budanov also revealed some details of the attack: the fuel tanks and an important part of the wing spar, which are located in the upper part of the IL-76, were targeted.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier the representative of the Defense Intelligence Andrii Yusov confirmed to Ukrainian News Agency that overnight into Wednesday, August 30, drones attacked the airport in Pskov (russia), which is also used for basing military aircraft, as a result of the attack, 4 Il-76 military transport aircraft were destroyed.
