One of DTEK Energy’s TPPs stops producing electricity due to shelling by occupiers

As a result of shelling by the russian occupiers, one of the thermal power plants of the DTEK Energy company stopped producing electricity.

This is stated in the company's message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"On August 24, as a result of shelling, one of the DTEK Energy’s thermal power plants, which had suffered repeated attacks before, was damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties. The company's equipment was seriously damaged. After the shelling stops, the power engineers will be able to start eliminating the consequences of the attack and restoring the operation of the equipment," the messages says.

According to the report, since September of last year, DTEK Energy power enterprises have been attacked 34 times.

As a result, 3 power engineers were killed, 28 were wounded.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in May-July, DTEK Energy’s TPPs increased electricity production by 26%.

The DTEK Energy company is a structure of the DTEK holding, which combines coal business, electricity generation, as well as mining engineering enterprises.
