300 settlements in 10 regions were de-energized due to bad weather.
This was announced by the Ministry of Energy, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"As a result of the large-scale thunderstorm that passed through the country, damage to power lines was recorded in 10 regions, 301 settlements were de-energized. Most of them - in the Chernihiv, Odesa, Kirovohrad, Poltava Regions. Also, due to bad weather, part of consumers in the Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Donetsk, and Mykolaiv Regions remained without electricity. Restoration work is ongoing," the message reads.
As a result of shelling, 45 settlements in the Donetsk Region were de-energized.
Part of consumers in the Zaporizhia, Kherson, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv Regions remain without electricity.
According to the report, the thermal generation unit with a capacity of more than 280 MW has come out of scheduled repair.
It is noted that the electricity produced by Ukrainian power plants is fully sufficient to cover the needs of consumers.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 7, 710 settlements in 11 regions were de-energized due to bad weather.
