In June 2023, the total volume of trading on the PFTS stock exchange decreased by 50% to UAH 14.3 billion over May 2023.
The exchange said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In January-June 2023, the total volume of trading on PFTS amounted to UAH 132.6 billion (253% of the level of the same period in 2022 or 147% of the level of 2022), which makes 61% of the total volume of trading of securities trading organizers in Ukraine.
In the trading structure for June, the share of state bonds was 96% (UAH 13.7 billion), corporate bonds - 3.1% (UAH 0.4 billion), bonds of a foreign state - 0.9% (UAH 0.13 billion), and shares of Ukrainian issuers - 0.02% (UAH 3.3 million).
In the "market of applications" 19% of transactions were concluded, in the "market of quotations" (including address agreements) - 79% of transactions, in the modes of repo and auctions for initial placement of securities - 2% of transactions.
In June 2023, 39 bidders at PFTS entered into transactions with 47 issues of securities (government domestic loan bonds - 38, government foreign loan bonds - 3, corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers - 4, bonds of a foreign state - 1, shares of Ukrainian issuers - 1).
In January-June 2023, 45 bidders entered into transactions with 76 issues of securities (government domestic loan bonds - 52, government foreign loan bonds - 3, shares of foreign issuers - 1, shares of Ukrainian issuers - 6, corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers - 9, bonds of a foreign state - 5).
Among the 38 issues of government bonds with which transactions were concluded in June, 12 issues were with repayment dates in 2023 (UAH 4.6 billion), 12 issues - with repayment dates in 2024 (UAH 5.5 billion), 4 issues - with repayment dates in 2025 (UAH 2.4 billion), 2 issues - with repayment dates in 2026 (UAH 0.3 billion), and 2 issues - with repayment dates in 2027 (UAH 0.9 billion).
Since July 26, the PFTS has begun trading in foreign currency denominated government domestic loan bonds.
In June 2023, the volume of exchange contracts with government bonds, executed in the currency of denomination, amounted to USD 97million and EUR 7.5 million (27% of the total trading volume).
The PFTS stock exchange is one of the largest organizers of securities trading in Ukraine.
As of July 4, 2023, the number of PFTS stock exchange members admitted to trading was 53: 31 banks and 22 financial companies.
LLC DM BROK (EDRPOU - 35587917, member code in the PFTS trading system - DMBRK) - a new participant in PFTS bidding.
354 issues of securities were allowed to trade on PFTS, of which 119 issues of securities were on the exchange register.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in May 2023, the total volume of trading on the PFTS stock exchange increased by 5% to UAH 29.5 billion over April 2023.
The PFTS index has been the official index of Ukraine in S&P Emerging Markets since 1997.
