The Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated almost 800 soldiers of the Russian occupation army during the day, and also destroyed about 100 units of enemy ground and air equipment.
Data on the losses of the invaders was published by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During Saturday, June 1, the Ukrainian military eliminated 790 occupiers. Thus, the total number of Russian soldiers killed since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine increased to 229,660 people.
Also during the day, the occupiers lost 99 units of ground and air equipment, namely (the daily increase is indicated in brackets):
- tanks - 4,052 (+ 10);
- armored fighting vehicles - 7,888 (+ 20);
- artillery systems - 4,188 (+ 26);
- multiple rocket launchers - 637 (+ 5);
- air defense equipment - 390 (+ 1);
- aircraft - 315;
- helicopters - 308;
- operational-tactical level drones - 3,557 (+ 12);
- cruise missiles - 1,261;
- ships - 18;
- automotive equipment - 6,816 (+ 22);
- special equipment - 583 (+ 3).
In general, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the aggressor country Russia has already lost more than 25,000 units of ground, air and sea equipment.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on Saturday, July 1, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that over 16 months of a full-scale war, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated more than 20,000 fighters of the Wagner private military company.
We also reported that due to high losses, the Russians turned another medical institution in the temporarily occupied part of the Luhansk Region into a hospital.
