In May 2023, compared to April 2023, the sale of used imported passenger cars increased by 0.3% to 15,400 units.
This is stated in the message of the Ukravtoprom association, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Gasoline cars take up the largest share in this segment of the car market - 45%.
Diesel cars occupy 36% of this segment of the car market, e-cars - 12%.
Volkswagen Golf remained the most popular used passenger car in May - 1,333 registrations.
Renault Megane is in second place - 1,230 units, Skoda Octavia in third place - 840 units, Volkswagen Passat in fourth place - 694 units, Ford Focus closes the top five - 403 units.
It is noted that the average age of used cars that switched to Ukrainian number plates in May is 11 years.
At the same time, the oldest car registered in May was a 1992 Honda Prelude.
Since the beginning of the year, 69,900 used cars have been registered in Ukraine, which is 3.2 times more than in the same period last year.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in April 2023, compared to March 2023, the sale of used imported passenger cars increased by 8% to 15,300 units.
In 2022, compared to 2021, the sale of used imported passenger cars decreased by 25% to 388,500 units.
