During the 43rd week of operation of the "grain corridor" (from May 22 to 28), only 4 vessels were shipped from the ports of the Great Odesa (as well as a week ago), and 15 vessels passed inspection at the entrance.
This is stated in the message of the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club Association (UCAB), Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"With such indicators, it will be extremely difficult to export surplus products located on the territory of Ukraine before the start of the new harvest. The Russian side continues to slow down the operation of this export channel. During the 43rd week of operation of the "grain corridor" through the sea ports of the Odesa Region, 210,500 tons of agricultural products were exported, which is 78% more shipments through this channel than a week ago. There is an increase, but these are minimal shipments compared to the potential of this export channel," the message says.
Last week, corn (91% of exports during this period) and barley (9%) were mostly exported through the "grain corridor".
Ukrainian products went to the countries of Asia (China), Europe (Spain) and Africa (Egypt).
A total of 30.5 million tons of agricultural products were exported since the beginning of the "grain corridor" (from August 1, 2022 to May 28, 2023).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 17, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Community, Territories and Infrastructure Development Oleksandr Kubrakov announced that the "grain agreement" has been unblocked, and it will continue to operate until July 18.
On August 5, the first caravan with Ukrainian grain left the sea ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk.
