In April 2023, consumer prices rose by 0.2%.
This is stated in the report of the State Statistics Service, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In particular, prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages in April increased by 0.4%, for clothes and shoes - increased by 0.4%, for housing and utility services - did not change, for services related to with health care - increased by 1.0%, for education - increased by 0.1%.
Compared to April 2022, consumer prices rose by 17.9% in April 2023.
In January-April 2023, inflation made 3.2%.
In April 2023, the core consumer price index increased by 0.5%.
In January-April 2023, the core consumer price index increased by 3.0%.
Core inflation is a sub-index of the consumer price index.
The core CPI (core inflation) is a part of inflation that shows the dynamics of free prices without taking into account items whose prices are affected by administrative and seasonal factors.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, in March 2023, consumer prices rose by 1.5%.
