NACP’s Power To Monitor Judges’ Electronic Asset Declarations Unconstitutional – Constitutional Court

Constitutional Court, declaration, e-declaration, electronic declaration, National Agency on Corruption Prevention

The Constitutional Court has ruled that the National Agency on Corruption Prevention's power to monitor the electronic asset declarations of members of the judicial branch of government is unconstitutional because the NACP is part of the executive branch of government and cannot interfere with the work of the judicial branch of government, which is independent.

This is stated in the Constitutional Court's decision, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Constitutional Court recently ruled that criminal responsibility for submission of false declarations is unconstitutional.
