The Office of Prosecutor General has classified information about the case that was opened against Member of Parliament Sofia Fedina (European Solidarity faction) and army volunteer Marusia Zveroboi on suspicion of issuing death threats against President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The Office of Prosecutor General announced this in a statement in response to an information request from the Ukrainian News Agency. According to the statement, information about the case cannot be provided to the media because it involves legal relations emanating from the criminal and criminal procedure legislation. The OPG also said that information about this case is a pre-trial investigation secret. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Prosecutor General’s Office returned the notifications of suspicion that Fedina and Zveroboi issued death threats against Zelenskyy to the State Bureau of Investigation to address the shortcomings of the documents. In a video that was broadcast on YouTube and Facebook, Fedina issued death threats against Zelenskyy in Lviv on October 26, 2019, because of his activities as the head of state. The Prosecutor General's Office opened the criminal case against Fedina on November 1. The case was launched under Section 1 of Article 346 of the Criminal Code (death threat against the president of Ukraine).
