Ukraine Decides To Stop All Flights To Iran Until Determining Of Reasons For January 8 Air Crash

Ukraine has taken a decision to terminate all the flights to the Islamic Republic of Iran until all the circumstances and reasons for the January 8 crash of UIA’s plane are clarified.

Prime Minister Oleksii Honcharuk has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

He said further measures to clarify the reasons for the air crash will be taken.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Embassy of Ukraine to the Republic of Iraq recommends that the Ukrainians planning to visit Iraq abstain from the trips there.

On January 3, 2020, the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ukraine expressed its concerns over ongoing escalation of the situation in the Middle East.

On January 8, a plane of Kyiv-based Ukraine International Airlines air company crashed in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
