Poroshenko Will Visit France To Meet With Macron After Visit To Germany On April 12

President Petro Poroshenko, after meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin, will leave for Paris on April 12 to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Two sources in diplomatic circles said this to Ukrainian News Agency.

It was not possible to confirm the media information about the visit of Macron to Ukraine until April 20 for a meeting with Poroshenko and the presidential candidate, the head of the Kvartal 95 studio, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

Interlocutors of the Agency in official structures reported that Poroshenko will hold talks with the French President on April 12 in Paris, where he will go after meeting with Merkel in Germany.

Zelenskyi’s team didn’t confirm or reject the plans for a meeting with Macron.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 7, the Central Election Commission established the results of voting in the presidential election on March 31: the most voters voted for Zelenskyi - 30.2% (5.7 million citizens) and Poroshenko - 15.9% (3 million citizens).

Since none of the candidates gained more than 50%, the CEC appointed the second round of election on April 21, where the one who gets more votes than the competitor will win.
