Ukraine's Ambassador to UN Yelchenko, U.S. Special Representative Volker Discuss Perspectives Of Deployment Of UN Peacekeeping Mission In Donbas

Ukraine's Ambassador to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko and United States Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker discussed perspectives of deployment of a UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas.

The mission of Ukraine to the UN announced this in a statement on Twitter, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley took part in the meeting.

Kurt Volker wrote on Twitter he was satisfied with the negotiations.

"Thank you @nikkihaley for hosting me & @YelchenkoUN to discuss views on UN role in resolving conflict. Host country consent is vital," he wrote.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, United States Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker believes that withdraw of Russian troops from the Donbas is necessary for deployment of a United Nations peacekeeping mission.
