President Petro Poroshenko and German Chancellor Angela Merkel have noted that the security situation in Donbas is deteriorating. The Ukrainian presidential press service announced this in a statement after a telephone conversation between Poroshenko and Merkel, Ukrainian News Agency reports. The two sides noted the deterioration of the situation in the region," the statement said. According to the statement, in this context, Poroshenko and Merkel stressed that it was important for militants to respect the ceasefire. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe’s Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (OSCE SMM) has said that the number of ceasefire violations in the Donbas increase by 150% during the period of November 11-17.
