The Verkhovna Rada has accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
258 MPs voted for the relevant resolution No. 15407, with a minimum of 226, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Svyrydenko headed the government for almost a year.
According to the Constitution, the resignation of the Prime Minister entails the resignation of the entire Cabinet of Ministers.
The Cabinet of Ministers, whose resignation was accepted by the Verkhovna Rada, continues to exercise its powers until the newly formed Cabinet of Ministers begins its work.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 12, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he had offered the current Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko to lead a new direction in relations with a key partner.
On July 13, Svyrydenko resigned.
On July 17, 2025, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Yulia Svyrydenko as Prime Minister, who held the position of First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economy in the government of Denys Shmyhal.
