Within the framework of the memorandum on the restoration of energy infrastructure after massive attacks by russia, banks have provided financing for business projects to restore energy generation with a capacity of 1.9 GW in two years.
This is stated in the message of the National Bank, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
As of early July, the largest amounts of financing in this direction were provided for the development of solar power plants, gas and hydro / bio / wind plants, and the purchase of generators.
Banks also finance energy storage projects (creation of storage systems, purchase of inverters and batteries), as well as modernization of heating equipment.
The capacity of these projects in two years reached 751 MW.
Over two years, banks have provided more than 5,000 loans to businesses in the amount of UAH 52 billion and about 20,000 to the population in the amount of UAH 4 billion.
As of early July of this year, the gross portfolio of "energy" loans to businesses, including their repayments, is UAH 34 billion, and to the population – UAH 3 billion.
Projects are financed in 21 regions of the country.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, banks have provided financing for relevant projects for a total of almost UAH 25 billion since the date of signing the memorandum on readiness to finance the restoration of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which suffered as a result of massive attacks by the russian federation.
