On the night of July 9, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit a number of important military and military-economic targets of the aggressor country of russia.
This is stated in a message from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In particular, 12 tankers, one tugboat, and one dry cargo ship of the russian federation were hit in the waters of the Sea of Azov.
The extent of the damage and the results of the hit are being specified.
"The hit ships were used, in particular, to supply fuel and lubricants to the russian military groups, as well as to transport oil and oil products in circumvention of international sanctions. They ensure the export of energy carriers, which is one of the key sources of financing the war against Ukraine," the military said.
The Yug Rus oil terminal in Bataysk (Rostov Oblast, russia) was also hit. A fire was recorded near the enterprise. The extent of the damage and the results of the damage are being clarified.
"The specified facility provides transshipment of oil products for export and is used to provide fuel and lubricants to the Russian military groups in the southern direction, as well as to receive foreign exchange earnings that are used to finance the armed aggression against Ukraine," the General Staff reported.
In addition, Ukrainian soldiers hit an enemy ammunition depot in the Sorokyne area of the Luhansk Region.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of July 8, as part of reducing the military-economic potential of the russian aggressor, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit two oil refineries, six tankers, the Borisoglebsk airfield, and enemy bridges.
