At the end of last week, Ukrainian gardeners began harvesting blueberries from open ground, and the season started this year at about the same time as last year.
This is stated in a report by the EastFruit project, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The report states that selling prices for this berry are already significantly higher than in the same period last year.
Today, the supply of locally produced blueberries on the market remains quite limited, and the demand for this berry is estimated to be quite high.
Wholesale lots of blueberries from open ground are currently on sale at a price of UAH 380-450 per kilogram.
More massive deliveries of blueberries from Ukrainian farms are expected from next week.
It is noted that today the price of blueberries in Ukraine is already on average 27% higher than at the beginning of the 2025 season.
Producers explain this price difference by the reduction in the gross harvest of blueberries in the country due to adverse weather conditions during the ripening period of this berry.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, prices for cherries are falling in Ukraine.
