The Security Service of Ukraine’s Counterintelligence Directorate, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Poland, has uncovered the activities of a group of individuals who, at the behest of the russian federation, organized a series of anti-Ukrainian rallies in Poland during 2025–2026.

It was reported by the SSU, according to the Ukrainian News agency.

The case involves 11 individuals implicated in organizing five staged “protest” events in Warsaw and Wrocław, which were inspired and funded by the kremlin. As law enforcement officials discovered, the organizers of these staged rallies offered USD 100–200 per person for a single appearance as part of the crowd. Based on the results of an international investigation by the SSU and the Internal Security Agency of the Republic of Poland, 11 individuals involved in the paid rallies were identified within the EU. Among them were two Belarusian citizens and nine Ukrainian citizens who were in the European Union and were involved in organizing the events.

Following instructions from coordinators in moscow, the organizers sought out potential participants for the staged “rallies,” briefed them, distributed provocative campaign materials, and paid them in cash for their participation. The street “protests” in European cities organized by the russian federation were aimed at discrediting Ukraine on the international stage and destabilizing the socio-political situation in EU countries.

Currently, all those exposed have been deported to their countries of origin. The actions of the suspects from Ukraine will be subject to legal assessment depending on the degree of culpability of each individual. International investigative and operational efforts are ongoing to bring all organizers of pro-Kremlin provocations to justice.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski did not rule out the possibility of russian provocations against one of the NATO countries. In Poland, near the border with russia, a reconnaissance drone bearing inscriptions in Cyrillic was discovered.
