On the night of June 30, moscow and the moscow oblast were attacked by drones. The mayor of the russian capital, Sergey Sobyanin, stated that air defense forces had allegedly shot down 50 drones flying toward the city.
According to Sobyanin, the attack began around 4 a.m. Over the course of two hours, he posted 11 updates about the drones that had allegedly been destroyed, noting each time that emergency services were working at the crash sites.
At the same time, russian authorities did not report how many drones may have reached their targets.
Due to the attack, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports temporarily imposed restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures.
Russian Telegram channels also reported explosions and a fire in Yegoryevsk, as well as strikes on Dubna in the moscow oblast.
Dubna is home to enterprises of the ussian military-industrial complex, including the Kronstadt plant, which manufactures drones, and the Bereznyak-named “Raduga” plant, which is part of the “Tactical Missile Weapons” corporation and produces cruise missiles, including the Kh-101, Kh-555, Kh-69, and Kh-59MK. Both facilities have repeatedly been targeted by drone attacks.
As a reminder, on the night of June 28, Ukrainian defenders struck two russian oil refineries—the Slavyansky refinery in the Krasnodar Krai and a refinery in the Yaroslavl Oblast.
