Russian dictator vladimir putin stated that moscow will not agree to negotiations on Ukraine’s terms, despite increasingly frequent strikes by Ukrainian forces on military targets deep within russian territory.
He made these remarks in an interview with russian propagandist Pavel Zarubin.
Putin commented on reports of Ukraine’s alleged proposal to limit active hostilities to four temporarily occupied regions—Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson.
“We cannot agree to such proposals,” the russian dictator stated.
According to him, a cessation of hostilities or a shift in the front line would, in his view, give Ukrainian troops the opportunity to regroup and strengthen their defenses.
Putin also claims that such a scenario would be a “lifeline” for Ukraine due to an alleged shortage of personnel in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Official Kyiv has not commented on these statements.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on June 25, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he had approved a 40-day operation by the Security Service of Ukraine aimed at forcing russia, the aggressor nation, to make peace and end the war.
