As of 12:00 p.m., there were 1,850 vehicles waiting in line on the Kerch Bridge at the checkpoint on the Kerch side. The estimated wait time was about five hours.

"Krym.Realii" reported on the traffic congestion, citing local chat groups and the Telegram channel "CRIMEA BRIDGE: Operational Information."

According to the channel, 250 vehicles were waiting in line from the russian side of Taman. Drivers there had to wait about an hour. Buses are inspected in a separate line.

Oleg Volodin, the administrator of the “Crimean Bridge Chat” channel, attributed the long lines to the fuel situation. According to him, the bridge was closed overnight due to an alert and russian air defense operations in the Kerch area, causing a backlog of vehicles that had planned to depart at night.

Volodin also stated that most of the vehicles in line have fuel canisters.

Meanwhile, videos of russian tourists complaining about shelling in occupied Crimea and announcing their intention to leave the peninsula are circulating on social media.

What is known about the strikes on Crimea?

On the night of June 25, the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula came under a large-scale attack by strike drones and cruise missiles. According to Crimean monitoring channels, the attack began around 1:00 a.m. and covered virtually all key areas of Crimea.

The day before, soldiers from the “Alpha” Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine carried out successful strikes against russian troops’ air defense systems in the Kerch Strait area, as well as against the infrastructure of the “Saky” and “Hvardiiske” military airfields in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Meanwhile, as a result of the attacks on the occupied Crimea, Sevastopol was left completely without power.

Following strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on Sunday, June 21, the occupiers suspended operations at the Kerch ferry crossing indefinitely. Truck drivers were advised to reach the peninsula via the road in the south of the occupied territories of the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson Regions.

Following this, the occupying administration announced that the free sale of fuel in Crimea would be suspended for both individuals and businesses.

The occupiers have also banned the placement of children in camps and other recreational facilities on the territory of the Crimea. The evacuation of children from the “Artek” camp has begun.

As a reminder, the number of train services connecting the occupied peninsula to russia has been reduced. From now on, seven trains run daily to and from the Crimea.
